Montreal has been dragged into a Drake-Kendrick Lamar rap beef

Content of the article

Drake, who has previously called Montreal his “second home” and complained about the lack of bras dropped by the Bell Center crowd, wants you to know he has connections in the city.

This is just one of many clips from “Heart Chapter 6” released over the weekend as part of his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar.

We won't go into the full (exhaustive, inexhaustible) history of their beef here, and instead cut straight to the question: “My Montreal switches don't fall, they stand / All you get are stories, they're all clowns.”

As for all of this “getting your stories out,” Kendrick revealed on his 6:16 in LA disc that he had sources in Drake's camp giving him information. (What info? Well, the next disc track, “Meet Graham,” includes word that Drake has a secret girlfriend.)

But who are Drake's “Montreal Binds”?

Look, we don't know, and it's not even 50/50, but since we're here, we might as well do a one-paragraph summary of the man's various Hells Angels allusions: In a 2018 Instagram post by fellow rapper Travis, Scott wore a Canadian Hells Angels hoodie. Fans suggested that one of the figures in the recent “Family Matters” music video (as well as the Kendrick diss, of which there are many) used to work at a store selling Hells Angels licensed merchandise.

Either way, at the rate of this beef, we could have Kendrick doing internal rhymes featuring Bustan by the end of the day.
