Oilers, Canucks open NHL playoff series Wednesday in Vancouver – Winnipeg Free Press

NEW YORK – The second-round NHL playoff series between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks opens Wednesday in Vancouver.

The Oilers and Canucks are the two Canadian clubs among the eight remaining in the Stanley Cup playoff race.

Game 2 is Friday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, followed by games three and four of the best-of-seven series on May 12 and May 14 at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Game 5, if necessary, will be played in Vancouver on May 16. Game 6 is May 18th in Edmonton, and Game 7 returns to Vancouver on May 20th.

The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers begin their second-round series on Monday. The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars begin their series on Tuesday.
