Paul McCartney is coming to Montreal in September

Sir Paul McCartney is coming to Montreal this September.

The former member of The Beatles has announced that he will play Montreal and Quebec City as part of his Freshen Up tour.

McCartney will perform at the Bell Center on September 20 and at the Center Vidéotron in Quebec City on September 17.

“We always have a great time playing shows in Canada. We can't wait to come back in September for another special show,” he says on his website.

Tickets go on sale July 13 at 10 a.m

McCartney is a true rock legend who wrote some of the greatest rock classics in music history. His tunes remain some of the most popular in popular music.

Decades after the Beatles' heyday, McCartney still draws crowds.

He last toured Montreal in July 2011 for his On the Run tour, which drew 17,000 fans.

McCartney will also play shows in Edmonton and Winnipeg.
