Calgary street sweeping has been postponed again due to snow

The City of Calgary has again delayed cleaning some residential streets due to spring snow.

Snow began falling Monday evening and continued intermittently on Tuesday, causing street sweepers to be delayed that day in the Citadel (West), Legacy and Coventry Hills (North and East) communities.

On Wednesday, the city announced that April 17 street sweeping in the Citadel community (southern section) has also been postponed.

“Snow and ice accumulations can cause problems with our sweeping equipment,” the news release explained.

Thus, the cleaning work scheduled for Wednesday will be moved to June.

All remaining cleanups scheduled for Wednesday are continuing.
