Gas prices rose 14 cents a liter on Thursday: Dan McTeague | News

It's time to stock up, because waiting until Thursday will cost you dearly.

Gas price watchdog and Canadians Affordable Energy president Dan McTeague said the summer gas switch will cost Ontario drivers an extra 14 cents per liter starting Thursday, April 18.

The increase will increase the average fuel price from Windsor to Ottawa in southern Ontario by 179.9 cents per litre, McTeague said. The increase will also raise the premium price to 209.9 cents per litre.

Meanwhile, McTeague predicts prices will rise by summer.

“The summer will be very expensive,” he said in an email.
