Three teenagers have been arrested in Manitoba for allegedly playing hockey at a high school

WINNIPEG – Three 17-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of hazing involving a rural Manitoba high school hockey team. RCMP say the team included five appellants, ages 15 and 16.

WINNIPEG – Three 17-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of hazing involving a rural Manitoba high school hockey team.

RCMP say the team included five appellants, ages 15 and 16.

The alleged attacks took place in January and November while the team was playing tournaments at a Winnipeg hotel.

According to police, two of the accused face charges of sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault and forcible confinement.

The third defendant is charged with assault and sexual assault.

They were released with a court hearing set for June.

“We have been working closely with the schools and coaches to determine what happened and move the investigation forward,” RCMP spokeswoman Tara Seale said in a news release Tuesday.

According to him, violence and offensive initiatives are not accepted.
