Kayla Goodfield is a multi-platform writer for CTV News Toronto who has covered local news across the GTA since 2016.

With a special interest in crime and justice, Goodfield covered several high-profile cases, including the murders of Toronto billionaires Honey and Barry Sherman, the Toronto police beating of Dafonte Miller, and the investigation of serial killer Bruce McArthur. .

In 2018, Goodfield contributed to CP24.com's coverage of the Toronto van attack, which was recognized by Canada's RTDNA with the Charlie Edwards Award for Breaking News.

It also featured the Toronto Raptors' 2019 championship run and rally.

Before coming to CTV News Toronto, Goodfield worked as a digital journalist at CP24.

Goodfield attended Ryerson University and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism.
