Three restaurants in the city are recognized for their excellent facilities.

Similar to, but very different from, the Michelin Guide, the latest rating comes from bathroom tissue brand Cashmere.

According to Cashmere's UltraLuxe Bath Guide, DaNico's “fine dining restaurant” at 440 College St. was the best place to do business.

DaNico scored three fleurs out of three, creating a “wonderful and surprising” experience that prompts customers to consider “stopping in the bathroom first” before enjoying the dining experience.

Victor Barry, CEO, chef and founder of Piano Piano, which currently has four locations in the GTA, said in a statement that the restaurant was “thrilled” to learn they made the list.

“Listen, it's amazing to admit anything,” he said. “But honestly, it inspires me to design the next (bathroom) even more.”

Liberty Group, DaNico's parent company, said on Instagram that they “pride the attention to detail” of all their properties, even adding Cashmere's honor to their website.

“Celebrating and recognizing the bathrooms of some of Canada's most beautiful restaurants is a natural extension of our country's amazing culinary scene,” said Susan Irving, CMO of Kruger Products, makers of Cashmere and other products.

Other Toronto locations are expected to join the list later this year, and beautiful bathrooms across the country will be honored in 2025.
