The National Hockey League has announced that Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux has been cleared to make his NHL debut

With a Montreal Canadiens prospect Logan Maillu will make his National Hockey League debut Tuesday night, the league said, clearing the 21-year-old defenseman.

Despite opting out of the draft, Mailu was taken with the 31st overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft after being charged and fined in Sweden for distributing an intimate photo of a woman without her consent.

Mailloux, a native of Windsor, completed his first professional season with the Laval Rockets of the American Hockey League.

He participated in 70 competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 33 assists.

The Habs close out the season with a visit from the playoff-chasing Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night at the Bell Center.
