Calgary's Red Line will be closed this weekend

Calgarians planning to take public transit to get where they need to go this weekend will see some obstacles.

According to Calgary Transit, from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, April 21, the Red Line will be closed between City Hall/Bow Valley College Station and Erlton/Stampede Station.

He adds that buses will replace train services between these stations.

These closures are due to repairs and maintenance, which include concrete rehabilitation of the Big Four building, track work and other projects as time permits.

Full CTrain service will be restored and operational on Monday, April 22.

Calgary Transit says Blue Line trains will not be affected.
