Tim Hortons sells pizza across Canada

Tim Hortons rolls out national flatbread pizzas to attract more afternoon and evening customers.

The chain says it will add cheese, pepperoni, “all bacon” and chicken parmesan flatbread pizzas to its menu on Wednesday.

The launch follows a two-year flatbread pizza pilot that included restaurants in Calgary, Greater Toronto and Winnipeg.

According to Tims executives, this wider launch is designed to help drive lunch after breakfast.

Chief marketing officer Hope Bagozzi believes the company's opportunities will be in the latter part of the day, as its daytime and evening market share is still small for a company of Tim's size.

The move puts Tim's in competition with major pizza chains and mom-and-pop pizza shops with loyal followings.
