Manitoba Progressive Conservatives to elect new leader in April 2025 – Winnipeg Free Press

WINNIPEG – Manitoba's Progressive Conservatives will elect a new leader next April 26.

The party must choose a replacement for former premier Heather Stefansson, who resigned earlier this year.

Wayne Evasco has served as interim leader of the Tories, who have been in opposition since losing the 2023 provincial election.

The Tories recently changed the rules for electing leaders.

Instead of a strict one-membership, one-vote system, the party adopted a points system that limited the influence of constituencies with large numbers of members.
