Winnipeg Sun: Awards would be nice, but Hellebuyck is happy the Jets are playing their best hockey at the right time. The nice thing about the Jennings Award is that it's a team award that shows a commitment to being a really stingy defensive team. The only shame is that Laurent Brossoit didn't make it to the 25 games required to have his name on the award. Of course, while it's nice to win a trophy, the main focus is on the ultimate prize in hockey.

Winnipeg Free Press: Niderreiter returns to Jets after injury scare. (Paywall). Even when players take the same precautions as Niederreiter, injuries can still happen.

Global News: Jets season may set new franchise standard. That Jets club has drawn plenty of comparisons, but it's to the 2017-18 team that did something no other NHL team in Winnipeg had ever done before, advancing to the third round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

News about jet aircraft:

Winnipeg Free Press: Big league dreams on hold. (Paywall). While some fans are angry at the prospect of another first-rounder returning to college for his third year starting in 2022, wearing the “C” for that storied program will try to get them over the hump in the “Frozen Four.” The reality that he is unlikely to be in the NHL next season may be the drivers of this decision.

Athletic Winnipeg: Top Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty returns to Michigan: Why he made the decision. (Paywall). It was thought he would join them on Monday when two more of his teammates signed professional deals (Gavin Brindley and Dylan Duke) and Frank NazarMade his NHL debut and scored a goal with the Hawks in the pros. Of course, if you look at the teams, there are more opportunities with them, so the Jets will be next season.
