The Montreal Canadiens recalled Logan Mailloux

After spending the season in the AHL, playing all 70 games for the Laval Rocket thus far, Logan Mailloux was awarded a recall for the final game of the NHL season.

With Kaiden Goulet out with a concussion and Arber Hekage out for the season after shoulder surgery, there's a chance players will get some time in this final stretch of games. On Monday night, we saw Lane Hutson make his NHL debut. It looks like we'll be witnessing Mylus on Tuesday night.

In his first professional campaign, Mailloux set a career defense record with 14 goals and 33 assists. His 47 points are second among blueliners in the AHL and leads the league among back fives at the position. His defensive game has taken great strides and he has become one of Jean-Francois Houle's most reliable options on the blue line.

Like Hutson before him, Mailloux will be in the heat of battle against a Detroit Red Wings team in desperate need of a win. Hutson got his first point and made some good offensive plays, and Mailloux will be hoping to build on that.
