Toronto weather: Sun and clouds ahead of spring storm

Toronto can expect a sunny start to the week before spring storms begin on Wednesday and Thursday.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected on Monday, with temperatures reaching 17C, with sunny skies expected to rise to 16C on Tuesday.

However, everything changes in the middle of the week.

CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said Monday: “Another spring storm will hit the area Wednesday and Thursday with rain and wind. “We will dry again on weekends. But temperatures will be unseasonably cool on Saturday and Sunday.”

Saturday's high will reach 10 degrees, with a 30 percent chance of rain. Sunday will be sunny, partly cloudy in the afternoon with a high of 11 degrees.

The city has had several rainy days in the past week, with a rainfall warning issued on Thursday. At some point, Environment Canada is predicting up to 50mm of rain in some areas.
