Three people were arrested during the investigation for protesting Yonge and Eglinton

Toronto police have charged three people in January in connection with a January protest incident at Yonge Street and West Eglinton Avenue.

Investigators say on January 31st, several individuals entered a private business in the Yonge and Eglinton area.

The accused protested inside the business, obstructed the business and did not leave when directed to do so.

On April 13, Helen Furlott-Boise, 37, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with five counts, including trespassing, criminal damage to property and being part of an unlawful assembly.

Two days later, on April 15, Anna Lippman, 33, and Desmond Cole, 41, of Toronto, turned themselves in to police. Lippman is facing multiple charges, including trespassing, trespassing and unlawful assembly.

Cole was charged with trespassing, unlawful assembly and failure to leave premises when directed.

They are expected to appear in court in May.
