Two women and a man from Toronto have been charged in connection with a riot investigation in January related to a demonstration at an incident at a private business on Yonge St. Eglinton Avenue B.

In a press release issued Monday night, Toronto police said on Jan. 31, several people “unlawfully entered a private business” and protested inside.

The accused interfered with the operation of the business and did not leave when instructed, police said.

On Saturday, Helen Furlotti-Bois, 37, was arrested and charged with trespassing, criminal damage to property, unlawful assembly, unlawful assembly while wearing a face mask and failure to leave home when directed.

Anna Lippman, 33, and Desmond Cole, 41, turned themselves in to police on Monday.

Lippman was charged with breaking and entering, criminal trespass to property, participating in an unlawful assembly while wearing a mask and failing to leave a house when directed.

Cole was charged with criminal damage to property, being a member of an unlawful assembly and failing to leave premises when directed.
