Organized crime-related shooting in NE Calgary: Police

Police are investigating an overnight shooting in northeast Calgary related to an “organized crime dispute.”

Officers were called to Tararidge Court NE near Falconridge Blvd and 64th Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Monday for a report of a shooting outside a home.

Police found several rounds of ammunition, which they believe hit a residence in the area.

No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled the area before law enforcement arrived, but no arrests were made.

“This is believed to be a targeted incident and is believed to be related to an organized crime incident,” Calgary police said in a statement.

Investigators want to review security camera footage and speak with witnesses.
