The body of a 14-year-old boy has been recovered from Lake Ontario in Toronto

Toronto police say the body of a 14-year-old boy was found in Lake Ontario near Toronto beaches.

The boy was swimming with a friend on Sunday evening when he struggled and went under the water.

The boy's friend called for help, and a passer-by jumped into the water to try to help.

The boy's body was found around 9:00 this morning.
