Calgary has made the list of the 10 most expensive cities to rent in Canada

People are rushing to move to Alberta, and Calgary's rent prices are seeing a similar rush, with the city ranking among the top 10 most expensive cities to rent in Canada.

In a new national hiring report from Zumper, Calgary moved up to No. 10 and into the top 10, overtaking Oshawa, Ontario.

The report estimates that a one- and two-bedroom rental in Calgary will cost you $1,830 and $2,100, respectively. It's worth noting that the price of a one-bedroom apartment in Calgary has increased by 10.9% since this time last year.

Monthly rents were relatively flat in nine of the 10 most expensive cities, with changes of less than 1%, according to Zumper analysts.

Vancouver, which holds the top spot for one-bedroom rent at $2,650, has either been flat or down over the past seven months, while Toronto has followed the same trend over the past five months.
