Montreal eco-centers are extending their opening hours for the summer season

To encourage Montrealers to do their spring cleaning, seven of the city's eco-centres switched to extended summer hours starting Monday.

Recovery and reuse sites are places for residents to safely dispose of many items, including construction materials or products that are harmful to health or the environment.

According to a press release, more than 300,000 hits were recorded online in 2023 — a record number, they say.

In addition, eco centers annually sell wood, metals, tires, refrigerators, electronics, etc. collects more than 85,000 tons of material.

Until October 14, they will be open seven days a week, from 10 am to 6 pm.
