No one was injured in the fire in the apartment in the city center

No one was injured in a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in downtown Toronto.

Toronto Fire reported to CP24 that the fire appeared to have started on the balcony of a residence near York Street and Bramner Boulevard around 12:23 p.m.

Officials said the fire spread to the second balcony, where broken glass was seen falling to the ground below.

The situation was quickly brought under control and the fire was extinguished by 13:00

Roads were closed in the area as crews worked on the scene.
