5 food events in Calgary this week: April 15-21

We're halfway through April and there's no sign of Calgary's exciting food events slowing down.

There's a whole host of great events coming to Cowtown this week, from a celebration of Taylor Swift's new album, complete with cocktails, to a weekend of brownie meltdowns.

If you're looking for something fun, here are some of the best food events coming to Calgary this week.

A month-long celebration of Filipino cuisine returns to Calgary and across Canada in April. Participating restaurants offer prix fixe menus featuring authentic cuisine, ingredients and the culinary expertise of Filipino chefs.

Celebrate Taylor Swift's album drop

Adorn Boutique and Raindog Bar team up to celebrate Swiftie. Guests can shop adorable merchandise at Adorn (13% off, naturally) before heading to Raindog Bar for drinks, charcuterie and plenty of Taylor Swift music. A French Blonde (rumored to be Taylor's favorite cocktail) is included in the ticket price.

This 16-day event kicks off with a two-day outdoor festival on Bear Street, where vendors from the city's best restaurants serve up delicious food and drinks. More than 20 local restaurants and bars will be creating creative food and drink pairings inspired by springtime April Fools' Day.

Step back in time with this one-weekend-only brownie melt celebration! Pigeonhole brings it back with a one-of-a-kind sandwich pop-up featuring chocolate malts, jelly, Cincinnati chili and, of course, melty brownies.
