On March 28, police asked for the public's help in locating Garneau in connection with the second murder. WPS warned people not to contact Garneau, who is “considered dangerous”.

Edgar Allan Bear, 56, was found dead at 1246 Selkirk Ave. on March 18 around 4:40 p.m. Bear, a member of the Peguis First Nation, lived in Winnipeg.

On April 4, WPS notified Garneau that Garneau was wanted for second-degree murder last year in the killing of 25-year-old Daniel Raymond Harvey-Rodriquez.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of College Avenue around 6:45 p.m. on September 10 and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries.
