A rock thrown from the overpass shattered the driver's windshield, Quebec police are investigating

Quebec Provincial Police (SQ) are investigating after a rock thrown from a crosswalk hit a driver's windshield.

SQ responded to a call about a driver on Highway 35 around 8 a.m. Friday.

The driver said he was traveling southbound on the freeway when a rock hit his windshield and it may not have been an accident.

“According to information gathered by the driver, someone threw a rock from the Chemin Saint-Andre viaduct,” SQ spokeswoman Valerie Beauchamp said.

No one was injured and the driver was prevented from crashing or colliding with other vehicles.

The SQ investigation is ongoing.
