After searching the water at Toronto Beach, the adult teenager was treated at the scene and taken to Sick Children

A young man was taken to Hospital for Sick Children with minor injuries and an adult man was treated and released at the scene after emergency responders were called to the Toronto Beach area for a report of a person in the water Sunday evening.

Toronto Fire Services told CP24 they were called to the Ashbridges Bay Park area for a report of a “person in distress” around 6 p.m.

Several fire boats were subsequently dispatched to Lake Ontario near Dancers Boulevard North and Lake Shore Boulevard East. Crews also searched the water.

Toronto police told CTV News Toronto they received a call about a missing person in the water around 6 p.m.

“The Marine Unit of the Toronto Police Service is on the scene trying to locate this person,” said a media official.
