The Coyotes were on fire in Calgary on Sunday

“I think we played well, played well with the puck,” said head coach Andre Turinni. “We did a lot of good things, but defensively we weren't as stingy as we wanted to be.”

The Coyotes finished their road schedule 14-22-5, doubling their home win total from last season.

“If you look at our team, we know we're a young team,” Turinni said. “The way we act, compete and learn, we're hearing things now that reflect the growth and understanding of game management on the bench.”

Kerfoot opened the scoring 2:36 into the first period, slipping past Wolff from the right circle to give the Coyotes a 1-0 lead. A minute later, McChelli made it 2-0 with a puck on the break and into an open net.

Kuzmenko and Coronato tied it with two goals 2:20 apart, but Guenther responded with a power-play goal at 17:54 to restore the Coyotes' lead to 3-2.

Zari tied it 9:07 into the second period before Guenther responded with his second goal of the game, one-timed a pass from Jan Yenik past the Wolf. The goal was Gunther's first NHL multi-goal game and he has 15 points in his last 15 games.
