Nazem Kadri scores and scores as the Calgary Flames beat the Arizona Coyotes.

CALGARY — Nazem Kadri scored the tying and game-winning goals in the third period to lead the Calgary Flames to a 6-5 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday night.

Andrei Kuzmenko, Matt Coronato, Connor Zary and Egor Sharangovich scored for Calgary (37-38-5), which has won three of its last four games.

Dustin Wolff, the more active of the two goaltenders, made 30 saves to earn his third straight win. He is 6-7-1 on the season.

On the other hand, Connor Ingram went 22-21-3 with 25 stops. Ingram was replaced by Karel Weimelka with 2:40 left in the third period after taking an errant stick from a masked Coronato.

Down 5-4 entering the third period, Kadri needed just 1:14 to tie it. After chasing down the puck near the corner, his shot from a sharp angle squeaked between Ingram and the post.

Calgary got its first win of the night at 5:43 on the power play when Kadri deflected in Mackenzie Vigar's point shot for his 29th goal of the season. Kadri leads the club in scoring with 74 points.

With the score tied 3-3 in the second period, Guenther's second of the game at 15:14 — a one-timer by Ian Jenick — gave the Coyotes their third win of the night.

Doan's goal a minute later made it a two-goal cushion, and Sharangovic responded 33 seconds later to cut the deficit to one at 5-4, which was as close as Calgary would get in the second period.

Doan, the son of great Coyote Shane Doan, made an immediate impact in his first month in the NHL. The 22-year-old 2021 second-round pick has five goals and nine points in his first 10 games.

Arizona got off to a quick start with goals from Kerfoot and McChelli at 1:19 to give the visitors a 2-0 lead four minutes into the game. In that early period, the Coyotes held a 7-1 edge in hits.

But more than two minutes apart, Alaular scored a pair of goals to tie the score at 2-2.

Guenther's first power play of the night at 17:54 gave Arizona a one-goal lead going into the first intermission.

Calgary tied it again at 9:07 of the second when Zari buried Dryden Hunt's layup.
