Crews are searching the waters off Ashbridge Bay for a 'person in distress'

Emergency responders are searching for a person who may be in trouble after drowning at Ashbridges Bay Park.

Toronto Fire Services (TFS) told CP24 Sunday evening that they are looking for a “person in critical condition.”

Crews have been in the area of ​​Dancers Boulevard North and Lakeshore Boulevard East since about 6 p.m., they said.

At this time, several fire boats have been dispatched, but no divers are available yet, the TFS said.
