Queen Rock Montreal is coming to Disney+

Following its record-breaking success as the largest IMAX exclusive event release, Queen Rock Montreal It will make its global streaming premiere on Disney+ on May 15 as the first concert film available through DTS with IMAX Enhanced sound.

It debuts with the availability of IMAX Enhanced sound for 18 fan-favorite Marvel movies, immersing subscribers in the action like never before. This was announced today by DTS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Disney+, IMAX Corporation and Xperi Inc.

Subscribers on IMAX Enhanced certified devices can experience the full dynamic range of every heartbeat moment of this digitally remastered concert film that captures the world's most iconic rock band at the peak of their live power.

Queen Rock Montreal Featuring Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at their most exciting and moving. The original concerts, held on November 24th and 25th, 1981, were specially arranged for a full-length concert film to document their live show.

Mercury Studios restored the film for IMAX. Executive producers include Jeff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.

Best-in-class certified device manufacturers support IMAX Enhanced audio, starting with select DTS:X-enabled Android/Google TV devices from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, Xiaomi and more. Additionally, owners of certified DTS:X-enabled AV receivers from manufacturers such as Denon, Marantz and JBL can also enjoy the launch experience.

Disney+ is the first major streaming service to enhance the home viewing experience with IMAX Enhanced, giving subscribers new ways to relive the Marvel Cinematic Universe and beyond.

Today's announcement is the latest evolution in the long-standing relationship between IMAX and Disney Entertainment. Audiences first entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2010 through IMAX. Since then, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the highest-grossing franchise in IMAX history.

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were the first films shot entirely with IMAX digital cameras, and all titles available on IMAX Enhanced on Disney+ feature select sequences in IMAX enhanced aspect ratio.
