“Queen Rock Montreal” debuts as the first concert film with IMAX Enhanced Sound on Disney+

Following its record-breaking success as the largest IMAX exclusive event release, Queen Rock Montreal May 15 will be the premiere of the global broadcast Disney+ As the first concert film with IMAX Enhanced sound powered by DTS.

  • Queen Rock Montreal 18 debuts alongside the availability of IMAX Enhanced sound for the fan favorite Marvel movies that immerse subscribers in action like never before.
  • This was announced today by DTS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Disney+, IMAX Corporation and Xperi Inc.
  • Subscribers on IMAX Enhanced certified devices can experience the full dynamic range of every heartbeat moment of this digitally remastered concert film that captures the world's most iconic rock band at the peak of their live power.
  • Queen Rock Montreal Presenting Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at their most exciting and moving.
  • The original concerts, held on November 24th and 25th, 1981, were specially arranged for a full-length concert film to document their live show.
  • The film was restored for IMAX by Mercury Studios. Executive producers include Jeff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.
