Attack on Cumberland Avenue sends one person to hospital

Winnipeg Police responded to a report of an assault on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the 400 block of Cumberland Avenue.

According to witnesses, officers who arrived around 9:20 p.m. found an adult man suffering from stab wounds. The police provided emergency medical care until the ambulance arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Officers have cordoned off the beer vendor near the former Balmoral Hotel. Blood collected from the sidewalk in the guarded area.
