The protest over the carbon tax west of Calgary shows no signs of ending

Demonstrations against the Trudeau Liberals' April 1 carbon tax hike are now in their 12th day. Rebel News they are in it for the long haul.

Tents, trailers, cars and semi-trailers are part of a push back against Justin Trudeau's inflation tax, which was raised from $65 to $80 a tonne earlier in the month.

Although there were clashes with police early in the protest, the standoff ended with no arrests and the demonstration was entirely peaceful along Highway 1 west of Calgary.

Some protesters stood on the side of the road while others spoke Rebel News they come and go as their schedules allow.

Donations of food, games, food and camping gear are keeping regular protesters in good spirits. They say they are hoping for a bigger demonstration at their site this weekend, as more people are expected to return to the protest site on Saturday.
