While it was exciting on both ends, overtime didn't solve anything. Bullitt had just one goal courtesy of Drake Batterson. The Senators won their last home game of the season, and they also moved two points ahead of the Habs in the standings with two games remaining.

Caufield led the way on the Hockey Stats Cards Impact Map. Matheson's two points give him 62 points on the season.

The Canadians lost again, 44-25. Liveblog commenters don't feel they can turn one-goal games from losses to wins unless they reduce the shots allowed. Prime and Sam Montembo have kept them in a lot of games this season that otherwise could have been awkward.

Commentators also didn't like how Tkachuk handled the Habs defense in front of the net. A potential solution lies in 2023 first-round pick David Reinbacher, a big-bodied blueliner who could clear the gridiron in the future.
