Two teenagers were arrested in connection with a shooting at a residence in Laval

The two suspects appeared at the Laval courthouse Saturday afternoon via video conference in connection with the shooting at a residence on Nenuphars Street in Laval's Sainte-Dorothe neighborhood.

Bonyad Ghulam Ali and Adam Hamouchi were arrested by the Metropolitan Police Service (SPL) and the Major Crimes Unit of the Quebec Provincial Police (SQ) in Laval on Friday night shortly after the shooting.

“On the night of April 13, around midnight, two suspects opened fire at a residence on rue Nenuphars in Laval before fleeing in a vehicle,” SQ spokesman Stephane Tremblay said. “They were quickly located and arrested by officers of the Laval Police Department.”

The SQ said no one was injured in the incident and police seized firearms from the suspect's vehicle.

Ali and Hamouchi, both from Laval, are 18 years old.

Both have been charged with discharging a firearm and have been in custody since their appearance.
