Road closures in the Montreal area this weekend

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility informs road users that several roads will be closed between February 16 and 19.

The Papineau-LeBlanc Bridge and part of Highway 19 will be closed to traffic throughout the weekend due to construction.

This closure starts at 10:00 PM on Friday and ends at 4:30 AM on Monday.

Lanes will be closed southbound between Highway 440 (Jean-Noel-Lavois) and Boulevard Henri-Bourrassa.

In addition, northbound will be closed between boulevards Henri-Bourassa and de la Concorde, but access to boulevard Saint-Martin will be possible. will be possible.

If you want to travel between Montreal and Laval, road users can take the Médéric-Martin Bridge (A-15) or the Pie-IX Bridge (R-125).

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel

Between February 16 and 17, Highway 25 will be completely closed in both directions, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel.

Highway 25 southbound will be closed between 5 – R-138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street and Charron Island entrance.

Sulinney Avenue between Dixon Street and Honore-Beaugrand Street will be closed 30 minutes prior to the full eastbound freeway closure.

Highway 25 to Montreal will be closed between Highway 90 East – Westbound Highway 20, Route 132, La Prairie/US, Varennes and the Trudeau Airport and Notre Dame East entrances from Highway 20.

Work starts from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Friday night and Saturday night.

Access to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the highway is fully closed.

The ministry advises motorists to prepare for longer journeys in the area as congestion is likely.

Operation may be delayed, extended or canceled due to weather conditions or operating restrictions.

Detours are marked with temporary signs.

The Ministry of Transport recommends consulting Québec 511 before setting off.
