A 24-year-old Brampton man faces 14 charges related to an armed home invasion late last year and two other armed robberies this year.

Peel Regional Police say on November 25, 2023, four suspects entered a residence near Sandalwood Pkwy. and McLaughlin Rd., in Brampton and demanded money and property.

Police say one of the suspects fired the shots. One of the drivers was struck by a firearm and required medical attention.

The suspects fled after getting some property.

Investigators say one of the suspects is responsible for two more robberies.

In the first of those cases, police said on Jan. 23, the victim was in his car in a Mississauga parking lot off Mavis Street. and on Dundas Street, a suspect approached on foot with a firearm and demanded money.

Police say the victim was shot in the head with a gun and suffered minor injuries, and the suspect fled on foot after stealing property and car keys.

In the second incident, police said on March 6, two victims agreed to meet the suspect near McLaughlin Street. and Ray Lawson Blvd. in Brampton.

Authorities say the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the vehicle. One victim was hit in the head with a pistol, resulting in minor injuries.

The suspect fled on foot and did not take any property or vehicle.

On April 10, the police arrested the suspect and found a 9 mm firearm with ammunition.

Tyrese Williams is charged with robbery with a firearm, three counts of masked robbery, two counts of robbery, seven weapons-related charges and possession of criminal property.

At the time of his arrest, Williams was subject to a weapons ban due to a prior robbery conviction, which is a specific condition that he must not have weapons.

Two other suspects, Jessia Farrell and Kashawn Grenier, were previously charged with home invasions.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and investigators believe more charges are possible.
