One of Toronto's worst-rated McDonald's locations is closing after 18 years

Toronto's infamous McDonald's is closing at the end of the month, and people have mixed feelings about it.

The McDonald's location in Scarborough's Cedarbrae Mall, which is also one of the city's worst Winners locations, has faced its fair share of criticism over its 18 years in business, earning it the title of one of the city's worst-rated malls. location of the fast food giant.

Unfortunately for the very few fans of the place, they announced via a sign on the wall that they will officially close on February 28th of this year.

Reviews of the restaurant range from rude staff, orders being returned incorrectly (one reviewer said they sent the tea he ordered four times with milk and sugar before he got what he ordered), and worst of all, cockroaches roaming the floor.

One reviewer even went so far as to declare the Cedarbrae McDonalds “the worst McDonalds (location) ever.”

It's not the only McDonald's location to close in Scarborough. The location in Bridlewood Mall closed recently, as did the restaurants in Eglinton Square and Malvern Mall.

While no reason was given for the closure at Cedarbra, the mall is undergoing major renovations this year, which may be behind the change. However, many Scarborough residents believe that McDonald's is abandoning the neighborhood entirely.

Despite this, McDonald's fans in Scarborough can still get wet fries and McRibs at the two Eglinton East locations, as well as several surviving locations in Scarborough.
