Kuzmenko scored a hat trick as the Flames cruised past the Ducks

The Ducks responded with three goals at 4:07 of the third period to cut it to 4-3.

Colangelo, who signed a two-year entry-level contract Thursday after finishing his senior season at Western Michigan University, got a loose puck behind Wolf and fired it into the net to make it 4-1 at 2:54.

“It felt great,” Colangelo said. “I passed out for a second there. I just went into (the celebration) and tried to enjoy myself with my teammates.”

Trevor Zegras made a back pass to Vatrano from behind the net, who scored short from under the left rim to make it 4-2 at 6:13.

Zellweger made it 4-3 at 7:01 with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle that beat two Calgary players.

“Credit to them, they owned the first 10 minutes of the third period,” Kadri said. “We had to accommodate everyone.”

Kuzmenko scored his second goal of the game, making the score 5:3 at 14:22. He scored again from close range at 17:19 for a hat trick to make it a 6-3 final.

“As a group, we just battled,” Wolff said. “It was 4-3, I think with 12 minutes left, we just had to battle. I tried to make some saves when I needed to, and we got a few more (goals), which definitely helped.”

Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg, who announced his retirement from the NHL at the end of the season earlier in the week, played 15:14 in his final game at the Honda Center.

“Very emotional,” said Silfverberg, who has played 11 of his 12 NHL seasons in Anaheim. “Of course, it didn't go as planned. “We fell asleep in the first two periods, but in the third period we made a good push.”
