The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was called in after a Toronto police officer was stabbed and a suspect was shot.

Police say the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday in the area of ​​College Street and Lansdowne Avenue.

It is not yet known what happened, but both the officer and the suspect were taken to the hospital.
