A man who made Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers' annual “Least Wanted Valentines” list this year has been arrested in Winnipeg.

According to Surrey RCMP, however, Brown was in custody when Crime Stoppers released its list. The 49-year-old was arrested in Winnipeg on Feb. 7, Mounties said in a news release Tuesday afternoon.

A warrant for Brown's arrest was issued nearly a year ago, on February 17, 2023.

At the time, Surrey RCMP said he was wanted for “serious charges including kidnapping, assault, unlawful imprisonment, menacing, breaking and entering, fraud and possession of stolen property.”

In a release Tuesday, Surrey RCMP thanked the Winnipeg Police Service for their assistance in locating and arresting Brown.

Five other people participated in the Crime Stoppers campaign, including Cody Casey, who was awarded a $100,000 reward through the BOLO (“spot down”) program.

Metro Vancouver's other “least wanted valentines” this year are Beat Gattang Chuol, Denis Ivziku, Raj Kumar Memhi and Adam Thorndike.
