The Motorcycle Ride for Dad campaign continues in Manitoba

WINNIPEG – 16th annual Motorcycle Rides for Dad in Manitoba is fast approaching and fundraising is well underway.

A six-week prostate cancer awareness and education campaign kicked off on Friday ahead of next month's big trek. Saturday, May 25.

“Today we begin the countdown to Ride Day and the 16th Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for a Dad Fighting Prostate Cancer.” Mo Sabourinco-chairman, MRFD.

“Over the next six weeks, our organizing committee and media partners are focused on educating Manitobans about prostate cancer and the importance of early detection.”

Last year's ride raised $605,000 for the Prostate Cancer Genomic Center and the Manitoba Prostate Cancer Support Group, which represents Manitoba prostate cancer researchers.

The 2024 Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad will begin at Earls Polo Park and proceed west on Portage Avenue to Assiniboia Downs with a police escort, then back to the event at Selkirk, Gimley and Cowboys, Canada Inns Windsor Park.
