TTC waiting times have been reduced

Subway wait times on the TTC Bloor-Danforth and Yonge-University lines have changed.

As of Monday, wait times on the Bloor-Danforth line between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. will be reduced from seven minutes to five minutes. After 10 p.m., wait times on the Bloor-Danforth line will be reduced from eight minutes to six minutes.

On the Yonge-University line, wait times will be reduced by one minute to five minutes between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and two minutes to five minutes from 10:00 p.m.

TTC spokesman Stewart Green said subway service often met those standards before using sub-operators and trains. Now they're on the operational schedule, making them official, he told CTV News Toronto.

ADDITIONAL TTC changes

The 505 tram route will no longer run along Kingston Road, turning around at Kingston Road and Kingston Road and Queen Street East. The Kingston Road service is replaced by buses (503) every 10 minutes 24/7.

Tram service on the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst routes is being increased ahead of the CNE, running from August 18 to September 4. An additional service will also connect the 29 Dufferin and 929 Dufferin Express buses between Dufferin Station and Dufferin Gate. .

The 22 Coxwell bus route will return to full service once repairs are completed. In turn, Greenwood bus route 31 will now run between East Avenue and the Queen-Kingston Loop, terminating at Coxwell Station due to construction work.
