The Kananaskis Conservation Pass is renewed for free

The provincial government has added some substance to Kananaskis' conservation pass.

Alberta Parks announced Thursday that the permit will now cover three vehicles.

Originally the permit only covered two cars and one trailer per household, but the new rules mean permit holders can register three cars and a trailer or two cars and two trailers.

Officials say they made the changes based on public feedback.

A $15 per day or $90 year-round pass helps the government pay for conservation, public safety, and services and facilities in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley.
