Friday will be wet and windy in Toronto, putting the city under two weather warnings, according to Environment Canada.

The Federal Weather Service is warning residents that Thursday's rain will continue into Friday, with an additional 10 to 15 millimeters expected. In some areas, the total amount could reach 50 millimeters.

Heavy downpours could lead to torrential downpours and flooding on roads, warning of localized flooding in low-lying areas.

Strong winds with gusts of 70-80 kilometers per hour are expected to hit the city later this evening. It is expected to ease up on Saturday morning.

Environment Canada is warning local residents to be aware of loose objects or tree limbs during this period and brace for potential utility outages.
