Porter Airlines launches AeroTime new nonstop route between Montreal and Vancouver

Porter Airlines will launch a new scheduled route from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), Quebec to Vancouver International Airport (YVR), British Columbia on April 12, 2024.

It's not the longest route on the Porter Airlines network, as the carrier already operates flights from Toronto-Pearson (YYZ) to Vancouver and Victoria (YYJ). However, this is its first service to connect Montreal and Canada's West Coast non-stop.

Porter will operate the new daily service with its new Embraer E195 E2 aircraft.

In Montreal, passengers from Vancouver will be able to connect to a number of Air Transat's long-haul routes thanks to a joint venture signed by Porter Airlines with Transat in November 2023.

Throughout 2024, Porter Airlines will continue its westward expansion, with new routes from Montreal to Edmonton (YEG) and Calgary (YYC) next in line. In this way, Porter Airlines is gradually moving out of the role of a “boutique” regional carrier and becoming a nationwide operator in Canada.
