Porter launched Western Canada's first route between Montreal and Vancouver

Porter Airlines launches its first Western Canada route between Montreal and Vancouver.

The new route will be operated by Porter's E195-E2 jets and will start with one daily flight. Scheduled service offers a variety of connections to Eastern Canada via Montreal, including Toronto-Pearson, Halifax and Toronto City.

Its codeshare with partner airline Air Transat provides passengers with greater access to transatlantic destinations such as Paris and London from Montreal.

Additional services will be launched by Porter later this spring from Montreal to Edmonton and Calgary. Once they launch, Porter will operate eight nonstop routes from Montreal.

“Our presence in Montreal continues to grow directly through new Porter service and strategic airline partnerships,” said Kevin Jackson, president of Porter Airlines.

“ADM Aéroports de Montréal is very pleased to add Vancouver to the destinations offered by partner Porter. Whether for business or to explore the landscapes of Western Canada, this new non-stop service offers a range of options for passengers departing from YUL,” added Marc Ruel, director of air service development at ADM Aéroports de Montréal.
