A serious crash in East St. Paul sends 5 people to the hospital

Manitoba RCMP are investigating a serious crash in East St. Paul that sent several people to hospital on Wednesday.

The two-vehicle crash happened on Raleigh Street around 8:15 p.m

Witnesses told police they saw two vehicles, a gray Nissan truck and a gray Ram 1500, speeding and driving erratically. It was reported that they may have been racing or chasing each other.

The vehicles collided on Raleigh Street just south of Pritchard Farm Road.

The driver of the Nissan, a 29-year-old man, and the occupants of the other vehicle, men aged 37, 30 and 26, and a 23-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. injuries.

A CCTV video of the crash has been released on social media, showing one of the vehicles engulfed in flames and both of them flipping several times.

No charges have been laid at this time and the RCMP is continuing to investigate.
