East St. Paul crash sends 5 to hospital

Manitoba RCMP are looking for witnesses to a Wednesday night crash in East St. Paul that sent five people to hospital.

The two-vehicle crash happened on Raleigh Street around 8:15 p.m.

Police said witnesses reported seeing two vehicles, a gray Nissan pickup truck and a gray Dodge Ram 1500, driving erratically and at a high rate of speed in Raleigh. Mounties believe the drivers may have been racing or chasing each other.

The vehicles collided in Raleigh south of Pritchard Farm Road.

The man driving the Nissan and the occupants of the Dodge Ram, including three men and one woman, were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Mounties note that several people witnessed the incident and ask anyone with information or video to call Crime Stoppers at 204-482-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

No charges have been filed. Police are continuing to investigate.
