In her latest social media post, which she shared on Super Bowl Sunday, February 11, Simpson thanked her fans for their support.

“I am in good health,” he said. “Obviously, I'm dealing with some issues, but I think I'm done with it and I'm going to be on the golf course. Hopefully in a couple of weeks.”

Simpson predicted the San Francisco 49ers to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 24-20. “This is not hope. I base it on the quality of the players on the football field.”

The Chiefs won the game 31-20.

After racking up numerous accolades on the gridiron, including Pro Football Hall of Famer, Heisman Trophy winner, 1973 MVP and Player of the Year, six-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, Simpson is back in the limelight. Before being arrested in the murder, Simpson was caught on live television in a now-famous slow-speed chase that ended with him being handcuffed.

Simpson maintained his innocence, and the ensuing circus was called the “trial of the century.”

In one of the famous courtroom scenes, Simpson was asked to try on a glove found at the scene of the murder. It didn't match, and one of Simpson's lawyers, Johnnie Cochran, said in court: “If it doesn't match, you have to excuse yourself.”

In a 2016 interview with Megyn Kelly, attorney Robert Shapiro revealed what Simpson whispered to her after her acquittal. “You told me from the beginning that this would be the result. You're right,” Shapiro said.

He also told Kelly he knew the gloves didn't fit Simpson's hands until prosecutors asked him to try them on.

“I tried on the gloves,” Shapiro told Kelly (according to The Hollywood Reporter).. “It was a little wide in my palm and a little long in my fingers. OJ Simpson has big hands and I knew the gloves wouldn't fit him. There is no question about it. It wouldn't even be close.”

Shapiro also said the jury reached the correct conclusion based on the evidence.

“There are two types of justice in America: moral justice and legal justice,” Shapiro said when Kelly asked him if it was a “fair sentence.”

“If you look at it from a moral point of view, a lot of people would say he absolutely did it. I deal with legal justice as you do as a lawyer and this is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. “There is no doubt in my mind that any jury that saw this case from start to finish would have concluded that there was doubt.”

After he was found not guilty, Simpson blamed the media for portraying him as a murderer.

“No, I did not commit these murders. “I couldn't kill anyone and I don't know anyone who was involved,” he told Black Entertainment Television host Ed Gordon.

“I don't think most of America believes I did it,” Simpson added in the magazine interview The New York Times A week later, a jury found that he did not kill Brown and Goldman. “I received thousands of letters and telegrams from people who supported me.”

On the day of his acquittal, he promised to devote his life to finding the killers. “When things settle down a little bit, I'm going to pursue the killer or killers who killed Mr. Nicole and Mr. Goldman as my main goal in life,” Simpson said. “They are somewhere. Whatever it takes to find and bring them in, I will somehow provide.”

But the former footballer had little success on that front, instead seeking a book deal for the novel. If I do thisit was billed as a hypothetical account of the killings.

“It helped me get out of debt and secure my house,” Simpson said in defense of the book deal.

But the Goldman family secured the rights to the book and renamed it: If I Did It: Confessions of a Killer.
